Previously, experienced clinicians have used a narrow approach in describing the family as children and parents, but as the field evolves, the concept of the family too evolved and surged a strong support system, long term roles, and relationships between people who may or may not be related by blood or marriage.
In the previous time, formal intervention with families aimed at helping individuals and families experiencing various kinds of problems, within the family context. These interventions at times involved formal procedures or rituals with the non-kin member of the community and were often conducted by a particular member of the community – for example, a chief, priest, elder member of society, etc. Family Counselling as a distinct professional practice has its origin in the 19th century in the United Kingdom and the United States and by the late 19th century it had reached parts of Asia, effectively the rich section of society. The formal development in family therapy increased substantially as the rise in the prevalence of child counseling was mandated by officials. The third is Need for Freedom including independence and autonomy while handling personal responsibility, last is Need for fun, pleasure-seeking enjoyment, and relaxation is most important for good psychological health.
Systemic Coaching: In family therapy, we focus on developing a person’s capability with systemic coaching to help other family members in the family. Sometimes there are matters which members don’t want to spill out to anyone, under such constraints having a Systemic coach in your family who could be from one of your family members will ease the tension and strengthen the relationship.
Structural Therapy: This technique is prevalent when the power is divided among family members and even after having a plethora of arguments no one reaches a conclusion upon which everyone agrees. This identifies the loose ends which are causing continuous problems and re-orders one organization in the family.
Narrative Therapy: These techniques work with restoring the authority of the family in problem saturated narrative which translates to the authorities of the family saturating their problems as they consider themselves to be the forefront of security wall of all the problems, they are the ones to resolve everything which shouldn’t be the case. We help them emphasize the context of matter which provides a better understanding of problems and work towards separating the problem from the person.
